Let’s focus on three unexpected news today: 1. A certain beauty blogger, with 120,000 fans and known to be reserved, had her sockpuppet account, which was used to fanatically pursue celebrities, exposed. A stark contrast to her character. 2. The nation’s Male God, Fu XX, the one who is 36 years old and still does not have a girlfriend, secretly followed that beauty blogger just to look at her hand. 3. The two people mentioned above are getting married.

My Thoughts on Third Comb
"Third Comb" promised a sweet romance set against the backdrop of the entertainment industry, and for the most part, it delivered. As someone who enjoys a good showbiz story, I was eager to dive in, and I wasn't disappointed.
First Impressions
The premise is instantly appealing: a talented makeup artist who's also a long-time fan of a veteran actor. It's a dynamic ripe with potential for both heartwarming and humorous moments. The initial chapters drew me in with the promise of a mature and intelligent female lead, a trope I always appreciate.
What Works Well
The strength of this novel lies in its characters, particularly the female lead. She's not a pushover, nor is she unrealistically perfect. I found her to be a grounded and self-aware woman with her own ambitions, which made her far more relatable. Her interactions with the male lead, a somewhat older and established actor, were a delight. The novel explores the power dynamics in their relationship and the challenges of navigating love in the public eye. I especially appreciated that the male lead, despite his initial missteps, is portrayed as willing to learn and grow alongside the female lead. The author did a good job creating a male lead who is chivalrous without being overbearing.
Areas of Concern
While I enjoyed the journey, I have to admit that the ending felt a bit rushed. I would have preferred a more fleshed-out conclusion that tied up all the loose ends more neatly.

Final Verdict
Overall, "Third Comb" is a worthwhile read, especially if you're a fan of romance novels set in the modern showbiz world. The strong, independent female lead and the evolving relationship with the male lead are the highlights of this story. While the ending could have been stronger, the journey is enjoyable enough to warrant a recommendation. I'd give it a solid 3.5 out of 5 stars.
