Description
“I hate you enough to want to kill you, Sienna.” I was my sister’s shadow all my life, and I was betrayed by her and died. But… people have changed since the day I came back in time. “You’re the only child Nacht chose.”“Your Highness recognizes you as family.” Something’s wrong. These people seem to mistake me for my older sister. “I beg you, believe in us for once, that we care for you.” I once wanted to be loved. Now I fear that this mindset will become my weakness. One betrayal was enough. Everything is over when you bet everything in love. I just want to get my life back so…

The World Without My Sister Who Everyone Loved Review & Spoilers - Novel Translator
My Thoughts on The World Without My Sister Who Everyone Loved
This web novel certainly took me on an emotional rollercoaster! With a blend of drama, fantasy, and psychological elements, The World Without My Sister Who Everyone Loved presents a compelling, albeit sometimes frustrating, story of betrayal, rebirth, and ultimately, redemption.
First Impressions
Initially, I was drawn in by the premise: Sienna, betrayed by her seemingly perfect sister, gets a second chance at life. This setup promises a tale of revenge and overcoming trauma, which is always appealing. However, I can see where some readers might struggle early on. The writing style can be a bit disorienting at first, with shifts in time and perspective that aren't always clearly signaled. It took me a little bit to adjust, but I'm glad I stuck with it.
What Works Well
The strongest aspect of this novel is undoubtedly the character development. Sienna's journey from a traumatized, naive girl to a strong, independent woman is truly captivating. I especially appreciated how the author didn't shy away from showing the long-lasting effects of trauma. Her slow journey to trust, and her guarded heart, felt very realistic. The world-building, though somewhat standard with its noble hierarchy and magic system, has enough unique elements to keep things interesting. The mystery surrounding Sienna's first life and the motivations of the Nacht family kept me engaged throughout. And I have to give it up to Hesaros, the sweetest of them all!
Areas of Concern
While I ultimately enjoyed the novel, there were aspects that didn't quite hit the mark for me. The romance, particularly Sienna's eventual relationship with Ashiel, felt a bit rushed and unconvincing. I would have liked to see more development of that relationship before they became romantically involved. Also, while the Nacht family's redemption arc was well-written, I, like some other readers, found it a little too easy for them to be forgiven, considering their past actions. The ending for the "villainess," Loreina, also felt somewhat lenient, especially given the extent of her manipulation and betrayal.

Final Verdict
Despite some minor flaws, The World Without My Sister Who Everyone Loved is a worthwhile read, especially if you enjoy character-driven stories with a strong female lead. The translation is excellent, making the novel easy to immerse yourself in. While some elements might feel cliché, the author's unique take on the genre and the compelling character arcs make it a memorable and emotionally resonant experience. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a fantasy novel with depth, intrigue, and a healthy dose of drama.
