"The Reluctant Bride Book II" is... quite the ride. It's definitely not your typical fluffy romance, diving headfirst into messy relationships, questionable decisions, and the aftermath of forcing someone into a marriage they didn't want. It's a drama-filled story that kept me turning the pages, even when I wanted to yell at the characters.

The premise alone – a woman who schemes to marry a man who doesn't love her, only to divorce him and then be pursued by him later – is already a far cry from your average romance. The male lead's slow realization of his feelings and the work he has to put in to win her back makes for a satisfying journey.

The main issue I kept coming back to was the characters' inability to communicate effectively. So many problems could have been avoided if they'd just had an honest conversation! This lack of communication, coupled with the male lead's initial emotional abuse during their marriage, made it difficult to fully root for their relationship. The plot also felt a bit repetitive at times, with the leads arguing over the same issues without much progress.
