Description

I am a female secretary of an overbearing president in a typical dog blood drama novel. The kind of person who, at the end of the day, doesn’t even have a name and could only be called “secretary”, the one who wears a tight fitting black dress and a pair of 10cm high heels every day, running around in front of the president, humbly praying for the president’s attention, and hating the heroine. In fact, I really don’t. If I like the president, I’ll be struck by lightning. I’m getting more and more sick of the president lately. Except for the outstanding appearance that the author forced on him, this person is really useless from head to toe, low in EQ, and low in IQ. A legendary business genius who is all-powerful, but he doesn’t even understand anything, chickens know more than him. I had to reject all of his unreasonable demands every day, and on the way, teach him relevant knowledge of economic law and finance, and gradually.. he became a master. I’m so tired, I really want to quit my job.

The President’s Secretary Wants to Resign Everyday Review & Spoilers - Novel Translator

My Thoughts on The President’s Secretary Wants to Resign Everyday

"The President’s Secretary Wants to Resign Everyday" is a wild ride of a web novel that definitely kept me entertained, though not without a few hiccups along the way. It's a parody, and it knows it, which is a huge part of its charm. If you're tired of the same old overbearing CEO tropes, this might be exactly what you need.

First Impressions

Initially, I was hooked by the premise. The idea of a competent secretary constantly battling the illogical demands of a ridiculously powerful CEO, while the rest of the world is aware they are in a novel, is hilarious. I went in expecting a lighthearted, comedic escape, and for the most part, that's what I got.

What Works Well

The humor is definitely a strong point. I particularly enjoyed the scenes where the female lead, the secretary, shuts down the CEO's ridiculous requests with actual laws and regulations. It's a clever way to poke fun at the genre and provides a lot of laugh-out-loud moments. The self-aware side characters, driven by their desires for plot-related benefits, add another layer of absurdity that enhances the comedic effect. The FL is so good in this novel, she is strong and independent and doesn't take any of the ML's crap.

Areas of Concern

While the novel is generally funny, there were a few aspects that bothered me. Some found the ending to be a bit of a "sh*t show," with character personalities seemingly betraying their established traits. The female lead's eventual acceptance of the CEO, despite his initial annoying behavior, felt unearned to some, and her reasoning for doing so was questionable. I can understand the disappointment if you were hoping for a more consistent and satisfying conclusion.

Final Verdict

Overall, "The President’s Secretary Wants to Resign Everyday" is a fun, lighthearted read that's perfect if you're looking for a parody of the domineering CEO genre. It's not a deep or profound story, but it offers plenty of laughs and a unique premise. However, be aware that the ending might not be to everyone's taste, and some plot developments could feel a bit rushed or inconsistent. I'd recommend it with a slight reservation – go in expecting a comedic romp, and you'll likely enjoy it!
