The initial chapters drew me in with the promise of a cute romance set against the backdrop of university life and the exciting world of competitive gaming. The female lead is quirky and likeable, and the male lead, while seemingly stoic, intrigued me. I was ready for some lighthearted fun and maybe a few heartwarming moments.
What Works Well
I particularly enjoyed the interactions between the supporting characters. The male lead's teammates were a highlight for me, injecting humor and warmth into the story. I also appreciated the novel's focus on individual passions – the female lead's interest in medicine and the male lead's dedication to e-sports. The novel also features wealthy characters living a modern life, which is well written.
Areas of Concern
However, as I progressed, I started to notice some inconsistencies. The e-sports aspect felt somewhat underdeveloped and not entirely realistic. The romance, while cute, sometimes felt a bit one-sided, with the female lead seemingly more invested than the male lead. I also struggled to fully grasp the female lead's passion for medicine, as her achievements in that field weren't as prominently featured as her talent for investment.
