Description
In the distant future world where genes determine life and death, searching for love that lasts until death—— Earth’s environment has reached the point of deterioration and its energy is already exhausted, mankind has to go to Interstellar to survive. At the moment of life and death, the door to genetic research was completely opened. In order to obtain a stronger physique, greater strength, and more survival opportunities, humans have modified their genes. With the passage of time, various modified genes blended with each other, and the problems hidden in the genes gradually emerged. Mankind then discovered that genetic modification not only increased the chance of survival, but it also brought some devastating problems. Those people who have gained extraordinary powers by fusing genes of other species are called “human beings with heterogeneous genes” and rejected from normal human society. Especially those groups whose physical appearance is different from humans. They are called “mutant” contemptuously. When a woman with pure genes but no memory meets a man with a heterogeneous gene, how far can their love go?

My Thoughts on The Memory Lost in Space
"The Memory Lost in Space" is a sprawling sci-fi epic that grabbed me from the start and didn't let go, even when I wanted it to. This novel is a journey, and what a journey it is! Tong Hua's longest work to date, it's a rollercoaster of emotions set against a backdrop of cosmic wars and futuristic societies.
First Impressions
I was immediately drawn in by the amnesiac female protagonist, Luo Lan, who finds herself thrust into a political marriage as a stand-in princess. The initial setup is intriguing, and the world-building is simply magnificent. I knew going in that this was a Tong Hua novel, so I steeled myself for the inevitable heartache. Let me tell you, that preparation was necessary.
What Works Well
Luo Lan is, without a doubt, the star of this show. Her character development is phenomenal, evolving from a vulnerable amnesiac into a strong, decisive leader. I loved watching her grow and take control of her destiny. The male leads are also compelling, each with their own unique ways of supporting and loving Luo Lan. There's Qian Xu, the gentle and considerate mentor; Yin Nanzhao, the devilishly charming yet selfless anti-hero; and Chen Sha, the initially cold commander who slowly reveals his true heart. The relationships felt natural, developing organically as the story progressed. I also appreciated the author's ability to weave in moments of levity amidst the heavy themes, making the story more relatable and engaging.

Final Verdict
Despite the emotional turmoil it put me through, I highly recommend "The Memory Lost in Space." It's a complex and captivating story with a strong female lead, compelling relationships, and a richly detailed world. If you're looking for a sci-fi epic that will stay with you long after you finish reading, this is it. Just be prepared for the emotional rollercoaster!
