"The Final Protectors" is a completed novel from Priest that piqued my interest with its blend of fantasy, shounen ai, and supernatural elements set in a modern world with a time travel twist. After diving in and considering different perspectives, here's what I think.

The premise of characters traveling a thousand years into the future to address a weakening barrier protecting humanity from demons is immediately compelling. The mystery surrounding their past lives and the legends associated with them creates a strong hook. I was eager to learn more about the world and the characters' roles in it.

One of the strongest aspects of "The Final Protectors" appears to be its worldbuilding. The magic system and action sequences are well-developed and intriguing.
