Description
The female protagonist looks like a hot guy, has a manly personality, and is like the dominant one in the relationship, basically the one making all the moves. Male lead (ML) is the ‘film emperor’ in the entertainment industry and has his own very successful company. The protagonist joins the industry because initially his (ML’s) manager lied to her and told her that ML’s broke with debt, so since she’s currently jobless she just decides to go with the flow and start acting. Then somehow she dominates the country and she and ML become the country’s husband, who then marry and shocks the world because the public didn’t know that she’s a girl and just thought she’s a super hot guy.

"The Female Film Emperor" presents an intriguing premise: a female protagonist navigating the complexities of the entertainment industry while bending gender roles. I dove in expecting a compelling story of ambition, identity, and perhaps a dash of romance. While the novel delivered on some fronts, I found myself ultimately a bit conflicted.

The strongest aspect of this novel, in my opinion, is its lightheartedness. It’s a quick and easy read, perfect for when you want something that doesn't demand too much emotional investment. The portrayal of strong female characters and the emphasis on female friendship were also refreshing. These elements contribute to a generally feel-good atmosphere, making it a pleasant, if not particularly profound, reading experience.

However, I have to admit that the execution left something to be desired. The pacing felt rushed, and important plot points seemed glossed over. I found myself wanting more depth, especially when it came to the characters' emotional responses to significant events.
