It made me laugh even harder. “Stop being so funny!” —– Lin Yixin has had the ability to see ghosts ever since the car accident. However, it felt more like a curse than a blessing until Yixin almost died in the hands of a masked killer one day. The killer got away, but Yixin realized she had an advantage no one else had. Since she was able to see the ghosts that were following him, it meant she could pinpoint his exact location. But how was she going to obtain the evidence to prove his guilt?

Initially, the synopsis didn't grab me. However, the unique premise of a woman who sees ghosts teaming up with a quirky novelist intrigued me enough to give it a shot. The early chapters were definitely more comedy than horror, which suited my tastes just fine. I found myself chuckling at the antics of the main characters and the situations they found themselves in.
What Works Well
The comedic elements are definitely a strong point. The female lead, Lin Yixin, affectionately nicknamed "Goldfish," is hilarious. Her internal monologue and interactions with the ghosts are a constant source of amusement. The male lead, Suyang, is your classic tsundere, and his awkwardness adds to the comedic charm.
I also enjoyed the episodic nature of the story. Each "arc" presents a new mystery for Lin Yixin to solve with her ghostly entourage. The mysteries are often unique and have unexpected twists, keeping me guessing until the very end. The romance, while slow-burn, is sweet and satisfying. Seeing the two leads gradually warm up to each other was a highlight. The translation quality is excellent, making the reading experience smooth and enjoyable.
Areas of Concern
While I enjoyed the story overall, I can see why some readers had issues with the female lead. Lin Yixin can be impulsive and sometimes acts without thinking, which can be frustrating.
