The initial chapters hooked me with the concept of a reincarnated woman seeking a divorce from her seemingly worthless husband. It felt like a refreshing take on the genre, steering away from the typical "golden finger" trope often associated with reincarnation stories. I was eager to see how the female lead would navigate her second chance at life.
What Works Well
I appreciated the fact that the female lead's reincarnation didn't grant her omniscient knowledge or an immediate path to success. Instead, she relies on her wit and the help of those she encounters, gradually climbing the social ladder. The slow-burn romance with the male lead was also a plus for me. It felt more organic and less forced than some of the insta-love scenarios you often find in web novels. The story has a unique way of developing the relationship between the leads and it was enjoyable to see how that slowly developed.
Areas of Concern
However, as I delved deeper into the story, some cracks began to appear. The plot, at times, felt a bit silly, and the characterizations weren't always consistent. The male lead, initially portrayed as an intelligent schemer, occasionally made decisions that seemed rather childish. The female lead, while sometimes clever, also had moments where her actions felt illogical, making it hard to fully connect with her. The push and pull between the leads sometimes felt weirdly executed.
