"Spring is the Plan of Life" is a novel that definitely left me with mixed feelings. It's a story with moments of genuine sweetness and growth, but also some significant plot points that I found a bit… perplexing.

The initial draw for me was the promise of a slice-of-life romance. I was hoping for a story about two people finding each other amidst the everyday chaos, and in some ways, it delivered. The early interactions between the MC and ML were certainly cute, and I appreciated the playful dynamic they established.
What Works Well
I particularly enjoyed the depiction of the MC and ML's relationship development. Seeing how they gradually became integral parts of each other's lives felt natural and heartwarming. The author did a good job portraying the little moments that build a strong connection. I also have to give credit where it's due; the translator seems to have done an amazing job bringing this story to life. A dedicated translator can truly elevate a novel, and it sounds like that's the case here.

Honestly, the way the in*est subplot was handled really soured my overall experience. The reactions of the MC and his mother felt unrealistic and dismissive. The lack of serious consequences or attempts at professional help for the half-brother left me feeling uneasy. Furthermore, the ending felt a little rushed and the "plot twist" felt forced. It's like the author threw in a dramatic element for the sake of drama, but it didn't quite land.
