Description

My Thoughts on Rare Rich People
"Rare Rich People" is a novel that definitely left an impression. It's a blend of romance, shounen ai, and slice of life, with a good dose of business intrigue thrown in. While it has its flaws, the story ultimately captivated me.
First Impressions
I went into this novel expecting a fairly standard rich-meets-poor romance, but it quickly became apparent that there was more to it than that. The premise is intriguing: a CEO reincarnated into the body of an aspiring entertainer. The initial setup is a bit rocky, but I was willing to see where it would go.
What Works Well
The strongest aspect of "Rare Rich People" is the character development, especially for the main character (MC). Watching him grapple with his past life and grow into his new circumstances was genuinely compelling. I also appreciated the slow-burn romance between the MC and the ML. It felt organic and realistic, with both characters having their own flaws and strengths. The business aspects of the story were also well-integrated, adding another layer of depth to the narrative. The author does a great job making the business/finance aspect intriguing, especially if you know the basics of how financial markets work.
Areas of Concern
One issue that I couldn't ignore was the depiction of the ML's behavior early in the story. Some of his actions towards the MC felt forced and crossed the line into non-consensual territory. While he does develop as a character, it's something to be aware of going in. Additionally, the pacing could be a bit uneven at times. The timeline felt a bit vague, making it difficult to get a firm grasp on the story's progression.

Final Verdict
Despite its flaws, I found "Rare Rich People" to be an enjoyable and engaging read. The well-developed characters, realistic romance, and intriguing business elements kept me hooked. If you're willing to overlook some of the ML's questionable early behavior and appreciate a story with depth and character growth, then I would recommend giving this novel a chance. I'd give it a solid 4 out of 5 stars.
