The idea of living dolls with distinct personalities is compelling, and the initial chapters do a great job of setting up the world and introducing the key players. The early focus on childcare and the MC's gentle nature creates a cozy atmosphere that contrasts nicely with the underlying darker elements.

What Works Well

The novel's strongest point is undoubtedly its characters. The MC's interactions with his puppet "children" are genuinely heartwarming, and I loved seeing their individual personalities develop.
