Description
Yun Ruoyue (30), a general surgeon from the 21st century who died from a car accident and her soul transmigrated back to 1800 years ago in ancient China. Her soul occupied another body with a new entity as Princess Consort Li. She is beautiful, kind-hearted and with inborn courageous. She fights for what she believes in and never afraid to stand up for injustice. This novel follows the turbulent growth of her in adjusting in her new life and how she fight back including her prince husband, Chu Xuanchen, to take back her rightful place. Chu Xuanchen (23), a prince from the Great Chu dynasty, he is handsome and intelligent, arrogant and domineering, and his biggest weakness that he’s a man of word, just like a typical military man. He was forced by the Emperor to marry Yun Rouyue as his princess consort, the daughter of the enemy who killed his parents. In the end, he did marry her even though he didn’t love her. After the marriage, he treated her badly and even marries another woman of his love in order to degrade and humiliate Yun Rouyue. At first, he thought that he would be happy after married the woman of his love, Nangong Rou, but he was wrong. Later on, and slowly, he realised the person in his heart was actually Yun Rouyue and has no love feeling to Nangong Rou other than just gratitude because she saved his life two years ago. Apparently, he was too late as Yun Rouyue didn’t love him and wanted a divorce, and the story goes on with how he will woo her back and they stay happily ever after.

My Thoughts on Princess Consort Is No Pushover
"Princess Consort Is No Pushover" is a bit of a rollercoaster ride, blending historical romance with a dash of sci-fi in a way that's both intriguing and, at times, a little uneven. I went in expecting a strong female lead, and while the initial chapters tested my patience, I ultimately found myself drawn into the story.
First Impressions
Okay, let's be real: the beginning is rough. The male lead is, to put it mildly, a jerk. He's cold and hateful towards the female lead, and I can see why some readers might be immediately turned off. It's definitely not a fluffy, lighthearted start. But, I decided to stick with it, and I'm glad I did.
What Works Well
The biggest selling point for me is the female lead herself. She's not a pushover, as the title promises. She's intelligent, resourceful, and doesn't simply forgive the male lead's initial behavior. I enjoyed watching her navigate the treacherous court and outsmart those who underestimated her. The political intrigue is also well-done, and I appreciated the glimpses of humor sprinkled throughout, even if the comedic timing wasn't always perfect. The author does a good job of creating a world where survival depends on wit and cunning, and the female lead embodies that perfectly.
Areas of Concern
The male lead's behavior in the early chapters is definitely a hurdle. While the story attempts to explain his actions, it doesn't entirely excuse them. I also felt that the pacing could be a bit inconsistent. At times, the plot felt rushed, while at other times, it dragged. Also, the blending of genres can be a bit jarring. The sci-fi elements, while interesting, sometimes feel a bit out of place in the historical setting.

Despite its flaws, "Princess Consort Is No Pushover" has enough going for it to keep me invested. The strong female lead, the intricate plot, and the promise of character growth outweigh the initial rough patches. If you're willing to persevere through the first few chapters and can handle a morally gray male lead, you might find yourself enjoying this unique blend of genres. I'd give it a solid 3.5 out of 5 stars.
