"Poor Lady" promised a captivating transmigration story set in ancient China, a genre I often enjoy. While the initial chapters held potential, the overall experience left me feeling rather disappointed. The drama, while present, often felt forced and relied heavily on tired tropes.

The beginning certainly hooked me. The premise of a modern woman navigating the complexities of ancient Chinese society is always intriguing. I was eager to see how the female lead would use her knowledge to her advantage and carve out a new life for herself. However, as the story progressed, my enthusiasm waned.

I will admit, the male lead was a high point. His character was consistently well-written, and I found myself rooting for him throughout the story. The introduction of a foreign tribe and the female lead's sudden ability to dance felt jarring and out of place.

While the male lead and initial world-building offer some redeeming qualities, the flawed female lead, convoluted plot, and unsatisfying ending make it a difficult recommendation. I can't say I'd recommend this one, unless you're a die-hard fan of the genre and willing to overlook its many flaws.
