"Our Cloudy" is a delightful little web novel that left me with a warm, fuzzy feeling. It’s a quick read, perfect for when you need a dose of sweetness and a good laugh. The blend of comedy, romance, and a touch of supernatural elements creates a unique and engaging story that I thoroughly enjoyed.
First Impressions
From the very beginning, I was drawn in by the charming premise: a pet store owner and a pet owner falling in love, all orchestrated by a fluffy Samoyed named Cloudy. The cover alone is enough to make you want to dive right in! The story doesn't waste any time setting up the characters and their adorable dynamic.
What Works Well
The absolute star of the show, without a doubt, is Cloudy. This canine cupid steals every scene she's in, and I found myself constantly rooting for her matchmaking efforts. The author does a fantastic job of portraying her as both clever and utterly adorable. I also appreciated the dynamic between the two leads. The protagonist's boldness paired with the love interest's "gap moe" (a charming discrepancy between their cool exterior and their inner softness) created a really endearing dynamic. The animal translator adds a layer of humor, and the interactions with the pets are pure gold.

Overall, "Our Cloudy" is a lighthearted and enjoyable read that I wholeheartedly recommend. If you're looking for a short, sweet, and funny story with a healthy dose of fluff, look no further. It's the perfect palate cleanser between heavier reads, and I can definitely see myself revisiting it whenever I need a pick-me-up. I'm giving it a solid 4.5 out of 5 stars. Now, if only we could get a sequel from Cloudy's perspective!
