First Impressions
My initial reaction was positive. The idea of Saitama navigating the wacky world of pirates, Devil Fruits, and Marines is inherently amusing. The story starts off at a point before the main One Piece storyline, which gives the author freedom to play around without disrupting canon too much.
What Works Well
The core appeal lies in Saitama's sheer power and how it clashes with the One Piece universe. Seeing him deal with threats that would obliterate most characters with a single, bored punch is satisfying. The humor, while not always laugh-out-loud funny, is present, and there are moments that capture the essence of Saitama's detached, almost apathetic heroism.
