Description
Synopsis 1 Tang Xin had secretly loved her boss for four years. During that time, her boss was pursuing her best friend, and she, as his teammate, played both sides against each other until she successfully eliminated him from the competition. Then, seeing an opportunity, she made her move—only to be rejected when confessing: “Sorry, we’re not a good match.” And so, she did something bold— In front of his assistant, she pinned her boss down on the desk and kissed him forcefully. Looking into his complicated eyes with her bright, tear-filled ones, she whispered, “This way, I’ve gotten what I wanted, and I won’t think about you anymore.” Later, Tang Yu discovered that this girl truly meant it. She really didn’t care anymore. But he grew more and more agitated every day. How could she just stop liking him like that? And how dare she say she only liked his face and money? What kind of twisted view of love was this? Tang Yu dedicated himself to correcting Tang Xin’s warped sense of love but often ended up being dragged into the mud by her clever tactics. Along the way, he lost all pretense of being a dignified CEO, throwing flirtatious remarks left and right, and eventually resorted to “force” to tame her— “Even calling me ‘Daddy Tang’ won’t save you!” A domineering CEO with questionable morals × A cunning little rich girl who always has a plan. The little rich girl’s diary : Before he falls completely in love with me, I will never admit that I fell for him at first sight. ________________________________________ Synopsis 2 According to the assistant’s report, during the script meeting, Tang Xin got into a heated argument with another screenwriter, refusing to back down. After hearing this, Tang Yu asked, “What was the reason?” Assistant Gao replied, “The other screenwriter wanted to add more scenes for the second female lead. Miss Tang said that if those scenes were added, the second female lead would come off as an idiot, and it would also make the male lead seem like he has no IQ or EQ. That screenwriter ended up crying out of frustration.” When Tang Yu entered the conference room, the upset screenwriter immediately complained to him, “President Tang, please tell us who’s right!” Tang Yu glanced at her and calmly responded, “Sorry, I can’t judge. Whenever I argue with her, I’ve never won—I have to coax her and give in.” Everyone else: …

My Thoughts on More Than Love
"More Than Love" promised a sweet escape into the world of office romance, and for the most part, it delivered. I dove in expecting a fluffy, feel-good story, and while I wasn't entirely disappointed, there were a few bumps along the way that kept it from being a perfect read for me.
First Impressions
The premise is pretty classic: a long-time crush finally gets a shot at romance with the seemingly unattainable boss. The initial chapters were engaging, drawing me into the protagonist's internal struggles and desires. I was definitely rooting for her from the start. The "enemies to lovers" trope is always a draw for me, and this one had potential.
What Works Well
One of the strongest aspects of the novel is its commitment to character growth. I appreciated how the male lead actively worked to make the female lead feel secure and loved, actively trying to address her insecurities. The story shines when it focuses on their developing relationship and the steps they take to understand each other. The absence of over-the-top drama was a welcome change of pace. The narrative felt more grounded and realistic, which made the characters more relatable, even amidst the "uber rich" setting. There was a good amount of fluff, which is exactly what I was looking for in a romance novel!
Areas of Concern
However, I have to admit, the female lead's actions and motivations were confusing at times. Her long-held crush, while understandable, didn't always translate well. I found myself frustrated with her lack of directness, particularly when it came to expressing her feelings. It felt like she expected the male lead to read her mind, which led to some unnecessary misunderstandings. This, coupled with a slow burn, made parts of the story drag.

Final Verdict
Overall, "More Than Love" is a decent read if you're looking for a relatively low-drama romance with a focus on character development and fluffy moments. While the female lead's insecurities and communication issues can be a bit tiresome, the male lead's efforts to build a secure and loving relationship are commendable. It's a story about overcoming insecurities and learning to trust, but be prepared for a slow burn and some moments of frustration along the way.
