However, I quickly found that the "crybaby" aspect is more of a hidden vulnerability beneath a cool CEO facade, which is much more palatable. The setup, with the MC discovering the FL's secret, private online persona, is immediately engaging and sets the stage for a sweet and funny dynamic.
What Works Well
The heart of this novel lies in the relationship between the two leads. The dynamic between the seemingly cold President and her subordinate is genuinely funny. I found myself smiling constantly at their interactions and the way the MC gently coaxes the FL, fully aware of her hidden, fragile side. The slow-burn romance is well-executed, allowing both characters to grow and overcome their individual issues. The story doesn't shy away from addressing deeper themes like trust issues and emotional vulnerability, adding a layer of depth to what could have easily been just pure fluff. I also appreciated that the premise wasn't just a one-off gag; the MC's knowledge of the FL's "trumpet" account played a significant role throughout the story, adding both humor and plot relevance.
