Description
“I have no intention of touching a woman. That applies even to my wife.” Ryu Sung-woon, a man seeking a child through in vitro fertilization from his blind date partner. Instead, Su-hwa steps in for the woman who stormed out and offers him a contract marriage. “I’ll give birth to your child.” After five years, she reunites with her first love. But Sung-woon fails to recognize her—not even realizing she was the intruder who once climbed over the villa’s wall. However, on their wedding night, when she expects them to sleep in separate rooms, her husband climbs into her bed. “W-Why are you taking off your clothes?” “Then, do you prefer keeping them on, Ms. Song Su-hwa?” Sung-woon had even come out as a man who preferred men. He didn’t want to be with a woman, which was why he had insisted on in vitro fertilization. So why…? “What’s the problem? You said you’d bear my child. It was clearly stipulated in the prenuptial contract and notarized, wasn’t it?” Looking into his wife’s wide, startled eyes, Sung-woon smirked in satisfaction. The intruder who had once made him question his own s*xual orientation had walked right into his life. How could he have forgotten those dark, pebble-like eyes? He had imagined kissing her countless times. “I won’t let you slip away a second time.” It seems my preference has always been the same. Back then and now, it’s still you.

Mine, Again Review & Spoilers - Novel Translator
My Thoughts on Mine, Again
"Mine, Again" promised a heady mix of arranged marriage tropes, hidden identities, and slow-burn romance. After diving in, I found myself both intrigued and a little conflicted. It's a story that certainly knows its audience, delivering on some classic guilty pleasures.
First Impressions
The premise is undeniably captivating: a marriage of convenience between a wealthy man who believes he's attracted to men and a woman forced into the union to save her family. The twist? She's the very person he fell for years ago, disguised as a man. It's a setup ripe with potential for angst, humor, and, of course, steamy romance.
What Works Well
I appreciated the slow burn between the leads. The simmering tension as the male lead grapples with his feelings and the female lead navigates her precarious situation is genuinely engaging. The author does a decent job of building the chemistry. I enjoyed the glimpses into the female lead's backstory and her strength in the face of adversity. I also found myself rooting for her to overcome her family's manipulation and find happiness.
Areas of Concern
While the story has its strengths, I did find some aspects less appealing. The tags can be misleading, with the "comedy" label feeling particularly inaccurate. The male lead's initial attitude towards the female lead might be off-putting to some, as his feelings seem rooted more in possession than genuine affection. The constant flashbacks, while intended to build context, sometimes felt repetitive and disrupted the flow of the narrative. I can see how some readers might find the female lead's characterization inconsistent, particularly her vulnerability given her difficult past.

Final Verdict
"Mine, Again" is a flawed but ultimately enjoyable read. If you're a fan of arranged marriage stories, possessive male leads, and hidden identities, you'll likely find something to love here. However, be prepared for some inconsistencies in characterization and a potentially frustrating male lead. I'd give it a solid 3.5 out of 5 stars – a guilty pleasure that's worth a try if you know what you're getting into.
