My Thoughts on Lost Marriage
"Lost Marriage" is a completed web novel that I recently dove into, and it's definitely a story that leaves an impression, though perhaps not always in the way you'd expect. With its mature themes, josei elements, and focus on the complexities of relationships, it's a story that tries to offer more than just your average romance.
First Impressions
My initial impression was that this would be a fairly standard "chasing wife" trope, and in some ways, it is. We have the playboy CEO, the calm and collected female lead, and the familiar dance of pursuit and resistance. However, there are some interesting twists that kept me engaged. The fact that the female lead is a divorcee adds a layer of complexity, and the dynamic between the characters' families is also quite unique.
What Works Well
I found the character development to be a strong point, especially the male lead's transformation from a "devil-may-care playboy" to a devoted partner. The reversal of roles, with him yearning for marriage and commitment, was a satisfying arc to witness. The female lead's maturity and grace in handling her situation were also commendable. She's not a pushover, and she learns from her past experiences, which makes her a compelling protagonist. The comedic relief provided by the male lead's friends was also a welcome addition, preventing the story from becoming too heavy or melodramatic.
Areas of Concern
While I enjoyed the story overall, there were moments where the male lead's actions bordered on being too much. His power-tripping due to jealousy felt a bit excessive and detracted from his otherwise positive development. Also, while the female lead's "playing hard to get" was justified, it could be a bit tedious at times.

Final Verdict
Overall, "Lost Marriage" is a worthwhile read if you're looking for a mature romance with a healthy dose of drama and character development. While it has its flaws, the engaging storyline, strong female lead, and satisfying transformation of the male lead make it a memorable experience. I'd give it a solid 3.5 out of 5 stars.
