Description
The once-in-a-century survival live-streaming competition among major planets is about to begin. Streamers from various platforms are heading to the competition center. However, the spaceship carrying the streamers unexpectedly loses contact midway, forcing them to take escape pods and land on a desolate planet, where they begin the survival live-streaming competition in an unconventional way. Shu Bao, an unknown lucky streamer, hopes to dominate the competition with his strength. But his luck did not allow him to do so: “The biggest trouble in my life is that my luck is too good ╮(╯▽╰)╭.” As a well-known and powerful anchor, Fu Qing disbelieves in luck the most in his life: “Anyone who tries to dominate with luck is tr*sh!” Thus, the battle between luck and strength begins. Fu Qing clears the path, slays forest giant wolves, and finally gains rights in the forest. The audience cheers excitedly, spamming 666. Shu Bao looked at the groups of forest wolves and waved his paw happily, “Hey, doggos! Want to work? Food and accommodation are provided, but you need to hunt and build your own den.” The forest wolves: “Awoo… Woof!” Audience: ??? Other competitors train talents and develop technology, eventually creating airplanes and ushering in the aviation era. Shu Bao, on the other hand, trains beast tamers to tame giant dragons and achieves freedom of flight—plus, you can pet the dragon anytime. Others are focused on developing new energy and leading an energy revolution. Shu Bao’s base gathers various mages, with wind, fire, thunder, and lightning—what kind of energy do you want? Audience: ??? Why does the atmosphere here always feel different? Shu Bao s**ked in his furry belly to make himself look less chubby, then shyly pointed to the tip of his paw, “Being lucky isn’t considered cheating, right?” With planets as a medium, let’s admire the beauty of life together. Reading Guide:1. Lao Xuan isn’t skilled in emotional plots, so focus on the main story! Main story! Main story!2. Set in a fictional interstellar background, please don’t apply to reality; a dual cultivation of magic and technology is essential because being a mouse means holding strict standards for oneself.3. It’s best not to overthink it, as the author’s brain was eaten by zombies.4. The zombies have something to say: “This author has too many wild ideas; no guarantees! Return it!”

My Thoughts on Interstellar Magic City
Alright, let's dive into "Interstellar Magic City," a wild ride of action, adventure, comedy, fantasy, and sci-fi that had me strapped in from start to... well, almost finish. It's a story that throws you headfirst into a xuanhuan world with a charismatic, and undeniably lucky, protagonist wielding elemental magic and befriending dragons in outer space. Sounds awesome, right? For the most part, it is.
First Impressions
I was immediately drawn in by the premise. The blend of genres is audacious, and the early chapters deliver on that promise. A lucky protagonist livestreaming his magical adventures across the cosmos? Sign me up! The initial world-building is engaging, and the fast-paced plot kept me turning pages (or scrolling, rather) well into the night.
What Works Well
The novel shines in its ability to create satisfying moments, particularly when the MC is building his tribe and looting resources. There's a real sense of progression and accomplishment as he navigates the chaotic world. The conflicts with the snake princes and the mechanical race also add layers of intrigue. And let's not forget the comedy! It's well-placed and keeps the tone light, even amidst the interstellar battles. For those seeking an easy read where you can turn off your brain, this is it.
Areas of Concern
⚠️ Spoiler Warning ⚠️
Okay, here's where things get a little bumpy. The ending feels rushed, almost as if the author was sprinting to the finish line. The resolution to the chaotic world and the conflict with the mechanoids felt glossed over, leaving me with unanswered questions. What was the solution, exactly? And what happened to the MC and his crew afterwards?
Furthermore, the novel seems to lose its way regarding its initial premise. What started as a survival competition evolves into something much grander, which isn't necessarily bad, but it does make the synopsis feel a bit misleading. I also felt that some potentially interesting characters were introduced only to be forgotten later on, and the MC's original goals seemed to fade into the background.
Final Verdict
Despite its flaws, "Interstellar Magic City" is an enjoyable read, even if it doesn't quite stick the landing. The engaging plot, comedic moments, and satisfying progression make it a worthwhile adventure. Just be prepared for a somewhat abrupt ending and a few loose threads. I'd recommend it to readers who enjoy fast-paced xuanhuan stories with a healthy dose of sci-fi, but with the caveat that it might leave you wanting more.
