"I Really Want to Sleep Until I Wake Up Naturally" promised a slice-of-life romance with a cool female lead and a clumsy love interest navigating college life. While I can see the initial appeal, my experience with this novel was a bit mixed, and I ended up feeling somewhat let down.

The initial premise definitely caught my attention. The idea of a strong, independent female protagonist who just wants to sleep, being pursued by a somewhat awkward but handsome guy? It had potential for some fun, lighthearted moments and maybe even some deeper character exploration. I was hoping for a relaxing read with a touch of drama.

I can definitely see why some readers enjoyed the female lead's personality. She's described as having a "badass" attitude and high standards, which is always refreshing to see in a romance novel. The way she stands her ground, even against a persistent love interest, is admirable. The idea that "chasing" someone who has explicitly said no is romantic is a trope that really needs to be retired. The dialogue and interactions between the main characters felt off. The supposed "high EQ" of the male lead definitely didn't translate in the story, and I found myself cringing at some of his lines. I also found the ending to be unsatisfactory, feeling incomplete and rushed. It's a shame because the initial setup had so much promise, but the execution ultimately fell short.
