The initial chapters are hilarious. The main character's plan to get back at his rival by pretending to be a couple on a reality show is just brilliant. It's the kind of ridiculousness that makes you immediately invested. The setup is quick, and we're thrown right into the thick of their fake relationship, which is exactly what I wanted.
What Works Well
The dynamic between the two leads is the heart of this story. The "enemies to lovers" trope is executed well, and I especially appreciated how the male lead's "adorkable" side shines through once they finally get together. Seeing him embrace his true self and the reactions of those around him was genuinely heartwarming. The plot is fairly unique, and I loved the comedic elements, especially the MC’s attempts to appear less attractive. It had me laughing out loud.
Areas of Concern
While I thoroughly enjoyed the story, I do think it could have benefited from a bit more depth. The past is mentioned, and while I understand why the author didn't delve too deep (it could have led to unnecessary angst), I felt like exploring it a little more could have added another layer to their relationship. I also felt like the story could have been expanded by a few more chapters to further flesh things out.
