My Thoughts on Heroes Prison
"Heroes Prison" has certainly grabbed my attention, and I can see why it's earned a solid 4-star rating. This VRMMORPG story throws you right into the deep end, and I appreciate that.
First Impressions
From the get-go, I was intrigued by the mysterious premise. Our protagonist, seemingly the world's most heavily guarded prisoner, is thrust into a virtual world with the goal of meeting the game's enigmatic owner. The 'why' behind his imprisonment and the 'how' of his potential freedom are compelling hooks, and I'm eager to see these mysteries unraveled.
What Works Well
The clever protagonist is a definite highlight. I enjoyed reading about his calculated moves and resourceful approach to navigating the virtual world. The story doesn't hold back on the action, and the integration of the VRMMORPG elements feels fresh. The permanent, albeit small, rewards for achievements are a nice touch, preventing power imbalances and maintaining a sense of progression.
I also appreciate the author’s decision to skip the usual VRMMORPG build-up. We're thrown straight into the action, which keeps the pace brisk and engaging. The concept of a prisoner using a virtual world to potentially gain freedom from a real-world prison is original, and I'm invested in seeing how it plays out.
Areas of Concern
I do have a few reservations. There are moments where the narrative leaps feel a bit too convenient, bordering on ridiculous. Some of the descriptions can be a bit lacking, and I sometimes found myself wanting more detail to fully immerse myself in the world. The author sometimes jumps to the result rather than building up to it properly.

Final Verdict
Despite a few shortcomings, "Heroes Prison" is an enjoyable and intriguing read. The action, mystery, and clever protagonist make for a compelling combination. If you're looking for a VRMMORPG story with a unique premise and don't mind overlooking some narrative leaps, I'd recommend giving this one a try. I'm personally looking forward to seeing where the story goes next.
