"Hello, Wife!" promised a fluffy romance with a strong female lead, and after diving in, I found it a mixed bag of enjoyable moments and frustrating character choices. While the overall concept intrigued me, certain aspects left me feeling a bit underwhelmed.

The initial premise is certainly appealing: a seemingly cool and collected woman being pursued by a devoted and almost too perfect man. Her actions often felt calculated, as if she were solving an equation to determine how much affection she should dole out based on the male lead's actions. Several readers mentioned that they felt like she was treating him like a servant, accepting his generosity without reciprocating in any meaningful way. I also struggled to understand why the male lead was so enamored with her. What exactly drew him to her in the first place? Her character just didn't resonate with me. It also felt like the author was trying too hard to emphasize her "strength" and independence, to the point where it became preachy and undermined her character's genuine emotions.

"Hello, Wife!" is a decent read if you're looking for something light and fluffy with minimal drama. However, the flawed female lead and the somewhat stale plot prevent it from reaching its full potential. While the male lead's devotion is certainly swoon-worthy, the lack of emotional reciprocity from the female lead ultimately left me feeling a bit cold. I'd give it a 3/5.
