"Give Me a Kiss" is a cute and fluffy danmei novel that I found to be a pleasant, light read. I went into it knowing very little, and came out feeling like I'd spent a few afternoons with a warm cup of tea and a comforting story. While it wasn't perfect, it had enough charm to keep me invested.

Honestly, the beginning was a little rough. The initial chapters are loaded with misunderstandings that felt a bit forced, almost like they were there just to create drama. I found myself wanting to shake both the main characters at times! There's a definite power imbalance and some unresolved feelings simmering between them, which made the start a bit angsty.
What Works Well
Despite the rocky start, the story really finds its footing. Once the initial misunderstandings begin to clear, the novel becomes incredibly fluffy and enjoyable. The romance is sweet, and the interactions between the main leads are undeniably cute. I particularly appreciated the gaming elements, as the MC is a dedicated League of Legends player. The translation quality is decent, and the translator even provides helpful explanations and pictures for those (like me!) who aren't familiar with the game. It's clear that a lot of love and care went into making this novel accessible to a wider audience. The story moves at a good pace, too, avoiding unnecessary dragging and resolving most of the conflicts within a reasonable timeframe.

My main concern, as I mentioned, was the initial reliance on misunderstandings. They felt a bit contrived and prolonged the angst unnecessarily. Also, the ML is a bit possessive, and while that works for some, it wasn't entirely my cup of tea.
