"Get Married In The Chronology" promised a delightful romp through different eras, and while it mostly delivered on that promise, it definitely had its ups and downs. As someone who enjoys a good historical romance with a bit of fantasy sprinkled in, I was eager to dive in.
First Impressions
The initial arcs were definitely the strongest. I was immediately drawn in by the concept of the female protagonist (MC) navigating different time periods and employing unique strategies to capture the hearts of her targets. The episodic nature of the story, with each arc being essentially a standalone romance, was appealing. I especially enjoyed the world-building in the earlier arcs, which felt well-researched and immersive.
What Works Well
The romance is undoubtedly the novel's strongest suit. The MLs are compelling, and I found myself rooting for the MC in each arc, even when her methods leaned towards the "white lotus" side. The author's ability to weave historical details into the stories is commendable. I also appreciated the MC's resourcefulness and the unique challenges she faced in each time period. The familial love and doting parents themes added a heartwarming layer to the narrative.
Areas of Concern
