The blend of e-sports, romance, and drama created a unique reading experience, but not without its bumps along the road. While I found elements to enjoy, some aspects definitely gave me pause.
First Impressions
Initially, I was drawn in by the premise of a cold, seemingly unfeeling protagonist and a devoted, almost obsessive male lead within an MMORPG setting. The idea of exploring their relationship amidst game quests and guild dynamics was appealing. However, as I delved deeper, I began to see some cracks in the foundation.
What Works Well
I did appreciate the immersive game world the author created. It's the kind of setting that allows for all sorts of interactions, both playful and serious. The side characters, particularly the ML's guild members, added a layer of levity and camaraderie that I found enjoyable. I also think the author did a decent job of portraying the virtual world.

My main issue lies with the portrayal of the main characters and their relationship. The MC's past trauma felt somewhat superficially explored, and the solutions offered to him seemed overly simplistic, almost to the point of being unrealistic. The ML's actions, while perhaps intended to be romantic, often crossed the line into being forceful and even stalker-ish. I found myself questioning the healthiness of their dynamic, especially given the MC's discomfort and the ML's persistent pursuit. It felt like the author was trying to force the romance instead of letting it develop naturally.

However, if you're willing to overlook these issues and enjoy the e-sports setting, you might find something to appreciate. For me, it's a 3 out of 5 stars.
