Description
When crossing over to multiple books, Ren Shuhan found that every protagonist Shou was waiting for him to start chasing them in the crematorium. “Don’t waste your time waiting,” He advised sincerely, “There are more 0s than 1s, so I’m not going to chase someone that is not interested.” The protagonist Shou (sneering): Oh, there will be a day where you’ll lick the ground I walk on. After waiting and waiting… Ren Shuhan: “This is the wedding invitation for my childhood friend and my wedding.” On the wedding night, Ren Shuhan removed the veil: “Baby, I’ve come to marry you.” “Don’t you know that life is nothing but a play where you are the male lead and I am just a supporting character?” “I know, but I don’t care.” He was smiling, but Jiang Qingyue wept.

My Thoughts on Don’t Wait for Your Boyfriend in the Crematorium
"Don’t Wait for Your Boyfriend in the Crematorium" promised a fluffy, comedic romance, and while it delivered on some of that, my experience was a bit of a rollercoaster. It's a quick transmigration (QT) BL novel, and my overall impression is that it's best enjoyed if you don't overthink it.
First Impressions
The initial setup intrigued me. The premise of a carefree protagonist jumping between worlds, each with a unique setting, sounded like a fun ride. However, the first arc felt a bit long, and I found myself wanting more plot development early on. I was definitely looking forward to some light-heartedness, and while there were moments, it took a while to really hit its stride.
What Works Well
The relationship between the MC, Ren Shuhan, and the ML, Jiang Qingyue, is definitely the heart of this story. I found their interactions to be incredibly sweet, and their devotion to each other was a definite highlight. Many others seem to agree, praising their adorable dynamic and the fact that the MC never forces the ML into anything. The humor also landed well for me. Some of the side characters, like Qu Chong, provided great comic relief, and the author's self-aware moments, where the MC acknowledges typical plot tropes, were genuinely funny. I also appreciated the interconnectedness of the arcs. Despite being a world-hopping novel, the overarching plot felt surprisingly strong, and I enjoyed seeing familiar characters reappear in different roles.
Areas of Concern
While the romance and humor were enjoyable, the plot could be confusing at times. I felt like the timeline jumped around, and some plot points felt underdeveloped or even contradictory. The villain also felt weak and one-dimensional. Instead of posing a genuine threat, he mostly served as a plot device, which made the "face-slapping" moments less satisfying. Also, the MC's overpowered system sometimes felt like a crutch. It eliminated any real sense of struggle, which diminished the stakes and made the story feel a bit too easy. I can definitely see why some would drop it.

Final Verdict
Overall, "Don’t Wait for Your Boyfriend in the Crematorium" is a light-hearted and entertaining read, but it's not without its flaws. If you're looking for a fluffy romance with a sweet couple and don't mind some plot holes and an overpowered MC, you'll likely enjoy this novel. Just be prepared to turn off your brain and enjoy the dog food! I'd give it a solid 3.5/5.
