This title is a mouthful, I know, but the premise of "Don't Dote on Me!" is so bizarrely intriguing that I had to dive in. The story centers around a noble lady trying to avoid the affections of a squadron of yanderes, and the result is... well, it's certainly something.
First Impressions
My initial reaction was a mix of amusement and bewilderment. The comedic undertones are strong right from the start, and the author doesn't shy away from leaning into the absurdity of the situation. The female lead's sheltered upbringing and emotional stuntedness create a unique dynamic, especially when contrasted with the intense (and slightly terrifying) affections of her pursuers.
What Works Well
The humor is definitely a strong point. The story's comedic value stems from the protagonist's complete lack of awareness about the yandere's feelings and the bizarre situations that arise because of it.
