Description
A flirty drama king top (Yu Sen) * a hot-tempered cool guy bottom (Si Xuanyang), in a mutual pampering relationship with a focus on the top. Infinite flow, supernatural theme. Yu Sen’s good friend, Si Nan, bought a wall clock from a second-hand market. Who would have thought that the clock turned out to be a deadly gaming machine? Yu Sen finds all the fighting and killing somewhat boring. But being randomly matched as a couple seems somewhat interesting? Or is it because he’s being mistaken as his best friend’s boyfriend? …. Si Xuanyang, Si Nan’s younger brother also always feels there’s something off about his brother’s boyfriend’s behavior—he’s too casual and always trying to flirt with him! Is he just overthinking things? Ugh, he can’t fight him, can’t scold him, can’t say anything. If he doesn’t handle it well, he ends up looking like a petty instigator… Whatever, before meeting him, better recite the Heart-Cleansing Mantra and the Tao Te Ching ten times first. But… what if his brother suspects him of cheating? P.S. The level-clearing plot is very simple, mindless, illogical, and not scary. Everything is designed just to heat up the romance, so don’t overthink it! There’s absolutely nothing, nothing, nothing going on between the top and his best friend! It’s all very clean!

My Thoughts on Clock Trap
"Clock Trap" promised a fun blend of adventure, comedy, and a dash of the supernatural, and for the most part, it delivered. The premise, involving a mysterious clock and transport into a game-like world, immediately grabbed my attention. I was eager to see how the characters would navigate the challenges thrown their way.
First Impressions
The initial chapters did a solid job of setting the scene and introducing the main trio: Si Nan, Si Xuanyang, and Yu Sen. The dynamic between them was apparent early on, and I was intrigued by the hints of romance and potential conflict woven into their interactions. The "game world" survival aspect felt familiar, reminiscent of other infinite flow novels, yet the focus on character relationships offered a unique hook.
What Works Well
Yu Sen, the protagonist, is definitely a highlight. His intelligence, rationality, and playful nature make him a compelling character to follow. I particularly enjoyed his ability to see through situations and devise clever solutions. His personality contrasts nicely with the hot-tempered nature of at least one of his love interests, creating a dynamic that kept me engaged. The author does a good job of portraying Yu Sen as physically weaker than his counterparts, but never helpless, which adds another layer to his charm. The romantic elements are well-integrated, and I appreciated the directness and flirtatiousness of the main character.
Areas of Concern
While the core concept is promising, the execution occasionally falters. The game-like scenarios, while providing a backdrop for the characters' interactions, sometimes felt underdeveloped. I also found some of the character interactions a bit grating at times. The constant bickering, while intended to be comedic, occasionally made it difficult to distinguish the characters from one another.

Final Verdict
Overall, "Clock Trap" is an enjoyable read with a charming protagonist and engaging romantic subplot. While the game elements could be more fleshed out, and some character interactions need refinement, the strengths of the main character and the overall premise make it a worthwhile experience. I'd recommend it to readers who enjoy character-driven stories with a blend of adventure, comedy, and a touch of the supernatural.
