I particularly enjoyed how the author doesn't spoon-feed every detail, trusting the readers to follow along as the smart side characters figure things out. Xiao He's growth as an actor, and as a person, is shown subtly, making it feel more authentic. The supporting cast is also a major strength. Liu Rulan, his agent, and Xiaochen, his assistant, are well-developed and add a lot of color to the story. I appreciated that the villains are gradually introduced and don't overstay their welcome.

Areas of Concern

As the story progresses, the initial focus on the system and its criminal aspects fades somewhat. While the entertainment and social issues become more prominent, I missed the earlier comedic situations and the sense of danger. Also, the author's injection of patriotic sentiment felt a bit forced at times.
