"Bite Marks" promised a blend of drama, mystery, romance, and the supernatural, and while it delivered on some fronts, my reading experience was a bit of a mixed bag. The yaoi and vampire elements definitely piqued my interest, and I was eager to dive into this unique world.
First Impressions
Initially, I felt a little disoriented. The story jumps right into the thick of things, and I found myself scrambling to understand the relationships and the underlying mysteries. There's a definite attempt to create an air of suspense, but at times, it felt a bit too heavy-handed, making it hard to fully connect with the narrative.
What Works Well
Despite my initial reservations, I appreciate the core concept. The author clearly has a vision for the world, and when the story hits its stride, it can be quite captivating.
