I dove into "Awakening the Daily Intelligence System at Thirty" with high hopes. The premise of a mature protagonist suddenly gaining a system in his thirties, navigating family life, and building a business sounded like a fresh take on the genre. However, my experience ended up being a mixed bag, to say the least.
First Impressions
Initially, I was hooked. The early chapters successfully drew me into the protagonist's world. There was a certain charm in seeing him juggle his responsibilities as a husband and father while adapting to his newfound abilities. The slice-of-life elements were well-executed, and I found myself invested in his family's well-being. The business-building aspect was also quite engaging, and I was eager to see how he would leverage his intelligence system to achieve success.
What Works Well
The initial focus on family and the protagonist's dedication to them is definitely a strong point. The author clearly aimed to portray a loving and supportive family dynamic, and in the beginning, it worked quite well. Unfortunately, the story seemed to lose its way as it progressed.
