First Impressions
The initial setup certainly grabbed my attention. The premise of a character reborn with a burning desire for revenge is always a compelling hook. I was eager to see how the protagonist would navigate his second chance and unleash his inner villain.
What Works Well
The revenge aspect, when focused, can be quite entertaining. The author clearly has a knack for crafting satisfying moments of retribution. The plot has potential, and the story can be interesting when it's not focused on revenge.
Areas of Concern
However, I found some inconsistencies that detracted from my enjoyment. The main issue for me was the uneven distribution of the protagonist's vengeance. While some characters who wronged him suffer greatly, others who were arguably more responsible seem to get off relatively easy. This felt jarring and left me feeling unsatisfied.
I also struggled with the protagonist's supposed genius. While an OP character can be fun, the lack of explanation for his abilities and the absence of any real challenge made parts of the story feel somewhat dull. It removes tension when the protagonist can easily overcome obstacles.
The regression element felt a bit shaky as well. The knowledge the MC possesses feels strangely precise, almost as if he experienced events firsthand that he couldn't have possibly witnessed. I think the story could have been improved by making the MC an Isekai instead.
