Description

Ning Shu, wearing new clothes, was eating melon seeds. The man thought, as long as his sons’ sharp tongues weren’t aimed at him, he didn’t care about anyone else.

Initially, I wasn't completely hooked. Some felt the early chapters were a bit slow, and I can see that. The initial setup, with the transmigration and the system, takes a little while to find its footing. However, I urge you to stick with it because the real magic happens as the FL starts bonding with her three adorable (and slightly villainous?) sons.
What Works Well
The heart of this story lies in the relationships, especially between the FL and her children. Many readers praised the children's interactions, especially the second son, Er Bao, who sounds absolutely hilarious and embodies that unique kid logic we all know and love. The FL herself is also a standout. I appreciate that she's not portrayed as perfect; she's selfish, opinionated, and makes mistakes. The in-laws, for the most part, seem to be a supportive and quirky bunch, adding to the overall lighthearted feel of the story. The slice-of-life aspects are also well-executed, with plenty of delicious-sounding food descriptions woven throughout. It's a relaxing read, perfect for when you need a break from more intense narratives. I also appreciate that the story doesn't rely on revenge plots or heavy drama, focusing instead on the everyday joys and challenges of family life.

While I thoroughly enjoyed the familial aspects, I did notice the romance seems to take a backseat. Some readers wished for more depth and interaction between the FL and the ML. Also, the story slows down eventually and the plot becomes less prevalent.
