My Thoughts on Towards You
"Towards You" is a sweet, albeit somewhat uneven, romance that I found myself enjoying despite its flaws. It’s a quick read, perfect for when you want something light and fluffy without a ton of angst. While it didn’t completely blow me away, it definitely had its charming moments.
First Impressions
Initially, I was drawn in by the premise of a second chance at love. The school life setting and the promise of a seme protagonist piqued my interest, and I went in hoping for some heartwarming moments and maybe a bit of spice. The story starts off strong, immediately introducing you to the main characters and hinting at the past life connection that drives the plot.
What Works Well
The best aspect of "Towards You," in my opinion, is the characters. They're both fundamentally good people, even if they make mistakes. I appreciated that the top wasn't the typical cold, domineering type. He's shown to be quite affectionate and emotional, which I found refreshing. The bottom is also very likable, even if his patience is a bit more than I would personally possess. The side characters are also generally supportive and accepting, which creates a warm and pleasant atmosphere. The smut scenes are present, but they don't overwhelm the plot, and are tastefully done.
Areas of Concern
While I enjoyed the overall story, I did find myself losing some interest towards the end. The plot becomes a bit repetitive, and the writing style shifts to a more detached narrative. It feels like the author starts telling rather than showing, which is a shame because the beginning had such a relatable feel.

Just be prepared for a slightly bumpy ride towards the end.
