I was particularly drawn to the focus on murders and human crimes within the supernatural setting. It's a refreshing change from relying solely on jump scares and monstrous encounters. The author's thoroughness in plotting and clue placement is commendable, even if it sometimes borders on being too detailed. The unique nature of each arc also prevents the story from falling into repetitive tropes that plague many unlimited flow novels.
Areas of Concern
My biggest issue lies with the protagonist. While I can appreciate a morally grey character, I found it difficult to consistently empathize with his actions. There were moments of genuine empathy, especially towards the ghosts he encounters, but then he would switch to treating others dismissively. It created a disconnect that hindered my overall enjoyment. The pacing, while detailed, also felt slow at times, despite the constant action.
