Okay, so I dove into The System is Abstract, Luckily, So Am I with a bit of trepidation. The title is definitely a mouthful, but it also promised something a little different. I'm always on the hunt for a novel that can make me laugh, and the comedic tag definitely piqued my interest. It seemed a fun diversion from the usual cultivation stories.
What Works Well
The humor is definitely the strongest point of this novel. The main character's perspective is just wonderfully bizarre. He's got this "life is meant to be fun" attitude that's infectious, and his interactions with the world around him are consistently hilarious. The author has a real knack for writing dialogue that's both witty and absurd, and I found myself genuinely laughing out loud on multiple occasions. The way the MC sucks those around him into his weird logic is a joy to read.
