The later revelation that the female lead is an AI, and hints about the male lead's non-human nature, felt like a significant departure from the initial story and added confusion rather than clarity. The plot begins to feel convoluted, losing the initial charm it had. Also, the MC risking her life for a stranger so early in the novel felt rushed and uncharacteristic.
