"The Female Supporting Character Is Wrecking Worlds Again" promised a wild ride of a protagonist tearing through different worlds, and while parts of the story delivered, other aspects left me wanting more.
First Impressions
The premise is definitely intriguing: a strong, amoral female lead transmigrating into different worlds to complete missions. The initial setup had me hooked, especially with the promise of a "chase-your-wife-to-the-crematorium" plot in the first arc. I was ready for some delicious angst and satisfying revenge.
What Works Well
The character of Shi Wei is undeniably compelling. She's confident, ruthless, and doesn't shy away from manipulating situations to her advantage. Some of the arcs, particularly the third one involving cultivation and demonic sects, were incredibly engaging. The power jump in that arc was a definite highlight. I also appreciated the comedic relief provided by the naive system, Xiao-Liu. The plot moves along at a good pace, and Shi Wei powers through any difficulties with calm confidence. The first arc was also a great introduction to the world and the female lead.
Areas of Concern
While I enjoyed certain aspects, I can see why some readers might be disappointed. The title suggests a more destructive and chaotic protagonist, and while Shi Wei is certainly not a saint, her actions sometimes felt more strategic than world-wrecking. Also, the second arc didn't sit well with me. The choices that the MC makes feel out of character and don't fit the overall theme of a strong female lead.
