Description
The future of the world and the direction of time possess infinite possibilities. Even the same event may lead to two completely opposite outcomes due to a millisecond deviation in completion time. I have led the Evolutionary Deluge, causing species worldwide to evolve and creating a splendid era of warriors. I have also allowed the invasion of evil gods, bringing those indescribable ancient dominators to the mortal world, instantly corrupting the Earth with evil beings. In the infinite space-time, there are a million possibilities. I have witnessed the divinization of machinery and have seen the revival of myths. Humans call me: The Creator of Everything, The Eternal Supreme God, The Cause of All Results, The Origin of Everything. But.. I prefer to call myself a humble observer.

My Thoughts on The Beginning: Simulating the Apocalypse
I jumped into "The Beginning: Simulating the Apocalypse" with a healthy dose of skepticism, given the oversaturation of system novels. But I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. This story offered a compelling blend of action, sci-fi, and xuanhuan elements that kept me hooked.
First Impressions
The premise itself is intriguing: a protagonist with the ability to simulate different apocalyptic scenarios in parallel worlds. What immediately grabbed my attention was the MC, Jiang Yi. He's not your typical arrogant or overly righteous protagonist. Instead, he's portrayed as a logical and realistic individual, treating these parallel worlds almost as experiments. This neutral stance, bordering on lawful evil or neutral good, makes him a fascinating character to follow.
What Works Well
The world-building is undeniably strong. The multiverse concept is explored in depth, and each simulated world feels distinct and well-developed. The pacing is also well-managed, keeping the story moving without overwhelming the reader with information dumps. I particularly enjoyed the focus on the simulation worlds themselves. Each one feels like a miniature novel, with its own MC and unique path. The "Evolution Virus" world, where humanity builds a galactic civilization, and the "Alien Evil God Invasion" scenario, where humanity merges into a single entity, were particularly captivating. The author's writing style is easy to follow, and the translation is commendable.
Areas of Concern
While I thoroughly enjoyed the novel, there are a few aspects that could be improved. The nationalism, while subtle at times, can occasionally feel forced and detract from the immersion. Also, the repetition of certain phrases, particularly those describing the "old man," can become a bit tiresome. A little more variety in the wording would go a long way.

Final Verdict
Overall, "The Beginning: Simulating the Apocalypse" is a solid and engaging read. The unique premise, well-developed characters, and intriguing simulation worlds make it stand out from the crowd. Despite a few minor flaws, I found myself consistently wanting to read the next chapter. I'd give it a solid 4/5 stars. It's definitely worth checking out if you're a fan of action, sci-fi, or xuanhuan novels with a unique twist.
