First Impressions
Initially, I was drawn in by the premise. An underdog story is always appealing, and the idea of a character escaping hardship to find their own path resonated with me. The hints of game elements and fantasy creatures only added to the intrigue.
What Works Well
One of the strongest aspects is the emotional core. The author does a good job of portraying the MC's naivete and lack of common sense as a direct result of her years of abuse and manipulation. I found myself genuinely rooting for her as she slowly begins to recognize her own capabilities and worth. The budding relationship with the noble mage also adds a layer of warmth and companionship to the narrative.

The main sticking point for me is the handling of the MC's misunderstanding of her powers. The repetitive cycle of her not realizing her strength, coupled with the lack of clear communication from those around her, does become a bit tiresome.
