Initially, I was drawn in by the premise: an unlucky protagonist, Wang Xiaoming, who suddenly finds himself entangled with a demon, Baal, due to a black pearl lodged in his body. The modern-day setting with a supernatural twist immediately piqued my interest. I was ready for some comedic chaos and a developing relationship between the unlikely pair.

What Works Well

The humor is definitely a strong point. The author's unique brand of wackiness shines through, and I found myself chuckling at the absurd situations Wang Xiaoming gets himself into. I also appreciated the dynamic between the MC and Baal.
