It's a delightful blend of genres, and while it's not groundbreaking, it’s an enjoyable way to spend a few hours.
First Impressions
From the very beginning, the story drew me in with its focus on the female lead, Lin Yihuan. I immediately admired her business savvy and independent spirit. Watching her navigate the challenges of ancient society with a modern mindset was entertaining, and the descriptions of the desserts had my stomach rumbling. The male lead, Liu Hexiao, initially presented as a brooding figure, but his support for Lin Yihuan and her business quickly won me over.

The romance is undeniably a highlight. It's a slow-burn romance that feels natural and earned, which I always appreciate. The focus on Lin Yihuan's business is also a strong point.
