The early chapters felt easy to read, and I was eager to see how the protagonist would navigate his new life and deal with those who wronged him in the past. The sci-fi setting with supernatural powers added another layer of interest.

The concept of mental powers in a futuristic setting is explored reasonably well. I appreciated the focus on the MC's growth and his initial goal of becoming strong enough to break his unwanted engagement.
