He's armed with knowledge and resources that set him apart, and I was immediately drawn into the idea of him navigating this new/old reality. The early chapters were promising, setting the stage for a unique blend of slice-of-life and xianxia elements.
What Works Well
I appreciated the balanced relationship between the MC and ML. The ML's devotion was sweet without being overly controlling, and the MC had a strong personality. The slice-of-life aspects, like farming and jade gambling, were fun diversions. Many readers praised the author's ability to explain complex concepts smoothly, and I agree. The flow of the story, for the most part, kept me engaged. The story is a relaxing, feel-good read, with no major angst or tragedy.
Areas of Concern
However, the pacing felt off at times. The ending felt rushed, with plot threads tied up too quickly. I also felt that the author could have fleshed out the characters more. Some found the ML's instant infatuation a bit jarring. The constant repetition of certain phrases and descriptions also became noticeable.
