First Impressions
Going in, I knew "President, Finish This Cup of Green Tea" was short, almost deceptively so. The summary piqued my interest with its promise of a "green tea" alpha, but I was also a little wary of whether the story could deliver a satisfying romance in such a limited space. My initial feeling was one of cautious optimism.
What Works Well
The story's biggest strength is its sheer adorableness. The central couple is endearing, and the addition of cute children definitely amps up the charm. I found myself smiling at their interactions, especially during some of the extra chapters. The plot moves at a brisk pace, never lingering too long on any one event, which keeps things light and breezy. I particularly enjoyed the author's take on the ABO genre with a twist on the CEO trope. The secretary was also a standout character, offering some much-needed comic relief.
Areas of Concern
However, the brevity of the story is also its biggest weakness. I felt that the character development suffered as a result. While the premise was intriguing, the execution felt rushed. The romance, while cute, could have benefited from more depth. Everything happened so quickly – meeting, marriage, kids – that it was hard to fully invest in the relationship. I also felt like certain plot points, particularly a potential conflict, were resolved too quickly, leaving me wanting more.
