Initially, Xie Wang is convinced he's better off without Lin Jianlu, but of course, things change quickly as he rediscovers his feelings. I was immediately drawn in by the promise of a bickering couple dynamic and the chance to see them overcome their past misunderstandings.

What really shines in this novel is the character development, particularly how both Xie Wang and Lin Jianlu grow and mature throughout the story.
